OPT (IPL) Photo-rejuvenation

Improves freckles, facial redness, fine blood vessels, skin texture and reduces pore size.

What is OPT (IPL) Photorejuvenation?

This elegant treatment uses intense pulse light (IPL) energy to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating new collagen formation in the deeper skin while correcting blemishes on the outer skin. It improves freckles, facial redness, fine blood vessels, skin texture and reduces pore size.

Increasingly, people are doing regular OPT (IPL) photo-rejuvenation treatment at a monthly or bi-monthly interval to help maintain and refresh their skin! Using the Lumenis M22 OPT machine, Assurance Skin Clinic delivers this popular treatment to help the patient to brighten their face.

More About OPT (IPL) Photo-rejuvenation

Is M22 OPT (IPL) good for your skin?

M22 OPT (IPL) can be customized individually for maximum aesthetic results. Each light pulse penetrates the skin tissue and creates controlled destruction to the imperfections (e.g. unwanted hair, pigments and veins) while leaving the surrounding healthy skin and vessels unaffected. The body’s natural process will then remove the damaged tissue from the treated area. Collagen stimulation occurs, and new cell growth in the deep skin layers results in a visible improvement of skin tone, texture and appearance.

What does M22 OPT (IPL) do for your face?

Lumines M22 OPT (IPL) is clinically proven to rejuvenate the skin and the overall appearance. According to published data, assessing doctors awarded a good rating of improvement in facial redness, pigmentation, photo-damaged skin and overall appearance after a series of treatments.

How many M22 OPT ( IPL) sessions does it take to see results?

During the treatment, patients are given protective eyewear, and a cold gel is applied to the treatment area. The M22 OPT hand piece delivers pulses of light that penetrate and correct skin imperfections. Treatment time varies from 10-20 minutes, and a complete treatment program includes 3-6 sessions spaced over a 3-to 4-week interval. After the spots & blemishes have been corrected, one can opt for more cost effective monthly maintenance treatment to continue rejuvenating the skin.

What preparations are required?

No changes to your normal routine are necessary, except to limit excessive sun exposure 2-3 weeks both before and after treatment.

Does the treatment have any side effects?

There may be a slight redness or blotchiness to the skin. This usually disappears after one hour. In most cases, makeup may be immediately reapplied if desired. When the IPL is carried out by a well trained professional, it rarely causes any side effects.

Which part of the body M22 OPT ( IPL) treat?

M22 OPT (IPL) can be used to treat any area of the body. The most common areas are the face, neck, chest, hands and legs.

What is the difference between OPT & IPL?

M22 Optimal Pulse Technology (OPT) is an upgraded version of Intense Pulse Light (IPL). It is from Lumenis, the inventor of IPL technology, with increased emphasis on patient safety.
